The Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontian Islands, cordially invites you on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at 17:00 to attend the Final Event of the European project SWAN – “Enhancing regional transportation through Sustainable Water Aerodrome Network” co-funded by the Interreg Greece-Italy 2014-2020 programme. The meeting will take place at the Conference Room of the Corfu Port Authority (New Port – New Passenger Terminal, 49100, Corfu).
During the event, the project’s main results and the water aerodromes network developed in Corfu, Paxos, Diapontia Islands, Taranto, and Nardo will be presented. Participants will be informed about the infrastructure and facilities of the water aerodromes, the main actions implemented in the framework of the project and will have the opportunity to see up close the infrastructure of the Corfu water aerodrome.
The ”SWAN” project aims to construct and exploit a network of water aerodromes within the ports of Corfu, Paxos, the Diapontian Islands, Taranto, and Nardo. Water aerodrome infrastructure will support multimodal interconnection of transport modes, allowing direct connections between land and sea areas, such as ports with aerodromes, or ports with additional ports, or other remote tourist areas, offering residents a safe and fast way to travel.
